FAQ

• Check in are available from 1pm onwards through our self check in kiosk
• Check out is at the latest 11am. No exceptions
• If you wish to extend your booking please come at reception during opening hours (9am to 1pm) or email us at info@ozziepozzie.com
• Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hostel. The network name is OZZIEPOZZIE_FREE_WIFI and the password is freefree
• Luggage storage is available for free in our large lockers by the laundry area. You will need your own padlock or we sell some for $4. You can keep your luggage there until you have to catch your bus or train.

Opening hours common area : 

• The kitchen opens at 5am by the door near the main bathroom. The digicode to open the door is written at the back of your room key. Between 5am and 9am, please close the door behind you for security reason.  The kitchen closes at 11pm each night, no exception.
• The TV room is open 24h/7, after 11pm, you will need to use the 4 pin code written at the back of your room key to access to the TV room. Please lock the room after yourself if you are the last one to leave the room especially at night ! 
• The Games room, Laundry room and Reading room are open from 9am to 11pm each day.
• The pool is open from 7am to 11pm. Please be mindful of the noise if you are using the pool early or late we have neighbors !

Do you have laundry facilities ?

• There is a laundry room on site with washers and dryers. Coins and detergent are available at reception from 9am to 1pm or from 3pm to 5pm.

Do you have an out-of-hours emergency phone number?

• Call the after-hours number posted on the door of reception.

Do you have quiet hours?

• Yes, we have a noise curfew are from 11:00PM.  Late arrival guests arriving with night bus, please respect other guests .

In Australia, you don’t need the key to lock your room, only to open it.

Press the button on the inside of the door, close it firmly, and it will lock automatically.

  • Closest from the hostel : Social ground, only 5 minutes walk from the hostel 
  • For the best coffee and Bacon and egg roll in town : Agostina
  • Breakfast with a view ? Sandbox on Flynn’s beach is THE place to go
  • Late brunch : Head out to Frankies

  Lunch :

  • Little Shack : Perfect for a quick lunch with a stunning river view
  • Home at Roto House : Great for a easy snack amongst the tree, located by the Koala hospital
  • Banks café : Top food with great view

  Dinner :

  • Finnian’s serves great pub food and never disappoint
  • Best Japanese : Makimoto
  • Best Indian : Satwik Takeaway
  • Feeling fancy ? Head out to Bills or Twotripplefour

How do I get to the beach?

• Town Beach is about a 10 – 15 minute walk from the hostel. Maps are available at reception or display in the kitchen

Where can I catch the bus or taxi?

• The bus stop is a 5-minute walk from the hostel on Gordon street, if you catch the 322 towards the Lighthouse Plaza, you will be able to get a ride towards Flynns Beach or the Lighthouse beach (ideal if you want to do the coastal walk !) More information about bus in Port Macquarie click here

• Ubers are also available in town !

Do you offer bike hire?

• Yes! $15 for the day including helmet and padlock. We require a deposit upon booking. Bike have to be return by dusk.

Where to buy groceries food ? 

• The nearest supermarket is IGA on Gordon street. We would highly suggest to stop at The Growers market for best quality fruits and veggies.
• Coles is located 900m from the hostel by the bus station
• Aldi is also available in town towards the airport, you will need a car to get there
